Editor's Note
Unreasonable Logic is a single-author web publication set up as an antidote to the restless noise of the modern internet. It is written in the tradition of the classical British newspaper column—observational, slightly stubborn, occasionally indignant, and unashamedly committed to the virtues of quiet reflection.
I'm Andy Hawthorne, an ageing writer based in Coventry, England. I've always been a bit of a contrarian, and I'm tired of the endless noise of the internet. I wanted to create a space where I can write about what I care about, without the pressure of having to engage with the algorithm. I'm not trying to change the world, I'm just trying to make sense of it all.
The topics range from the absurdity of hyper-localised weather forecasts to the sacred geometry of the afternoon tea break. No breaking news is reported here; no urgency is demanded. You will find no pop-up banners asking for your email address, no cookie consent overlays, and no algorithmic recommendation engines designed to keep you scrolling until midnight.

- Intra-Day Timestamps: Articles record exact time of publication, allowing for multiple dispatches in a single day when circumstances demand.

Colophon & Typography
This publication is built using Astro and rendered as pure, static HTML. Typography is treated as the primary visual element:

The body prose is set in Newsreader, an optical-size serif typeface designed by Production Type, optimized for continuous editorial reading. Headlines, masthead titles, and metadata are set in Space Grotesk, a bold retro sans-serif with distinct geometric character.
The background palette is `#F8F6F0`, a warm off-white newsprint paper, paired with `#1A1A1A` deep charcoal ink.
